Directly in our office we issue you voucher which confirms your reservation and receipt of payment. This voucher should be shown on your arrival in the hotel.
Reservation/ Cancellation
Room reservations are commonly held by hotels until 6.00 p.m. on the day of arrival. In the event that a traveller arrives at the hotel past this time, the hotel or your Lufthansa City Center office should be notified, so that it can be ensured that your booking will remain active for your arrival. For a late arrival, the booking should be guaranteed with a credit card or with a direct billing confirmation.
Most hotels have a cancellation policy of 24 hours prior to arrival. If a cancellation is done past the cancellation deadline, the hotel may - as a general rule- charge a cancellation fee of one night's charge. It is recommended to make note of the cancellation number assigned by the hotel if a room reservation is cancelled.
During times of trade fairs, hotels usually charge higher room rates and also have stricter policies for booking changes and cancellations.
Rates
Hotel companies normally offer four different types of rates:
Rack Rate: Rate offered to the client directly at the hotel
Special Rate: Offer for defined times (weekend, summer etc.)
Corporate Rate: Preferential rate for all travel agencies
Preferred Rate: Rate specially negotiated via travel agency, hotel booking service or or a company.
